About us
EXIST is more than a clothing brand — it's a rebellion, a return, a rebirth.
Founded by two fashion students from Montreal, Luca and Benji, EXIST was born from love — not for trends or profit — but for clothing, culture, and craft. We started this because we were tired. Tired of watching fashion lose its soul. Tired of the trend-hopping. Tired of the surface-level regurgitation of ideas with no roots, no depth, and no story.
The fashion industry today is oversaturated with brands that chase virality and forget their why. The rise of fast content and cheap aesthetics on social media has flattened what was once a multidimensional world. It's turned fashion into a popularity contest. An algorithm game. A factory of replicas with no real heart.
We believe in something else.
We believe in history. In personality. In identity. In depth.
We study the garments that came before us — what they meant, where they came from, and why they mattered. Every piece of clothing has roots in a specific place, time, and culture. Fashion was once a language. It still can be.
We aren’t here to imitate.
We’re here to contribute.
Our mission is to take what the real pioneers of this industry gave us — the designers, musicians, mangaka, painters, photographers — and reinterpret it through the lens of who we are. But we don’t want to do it alone. At the core of EXIST is collaboration — working hand-in-hand with artists across all creative fields to build something richer than clothing. We believe in uniting different artistic voices to create a shared language, a living culture. By merging styles, disciplines, and perspectives, we create not only authentic pieces and garments — but a community, a philosophy, an identity. One that reflects many tastes, many visions, and a collective spirit of rebellion and rebirth.
This is not just our vision — it's one we invite others to shape with us.
To EXIST is to reject being another follower in a system that tells you what to wear and who to be.
We believe your style should come from your world — not theirs. From your dreams, your passions, your culture, your inspirations. When you wear EXIST, you’re not just wearing clothes. You’re choosing to live your truth and express it unapologetically.
This is the beginning of the death of aesthetics as empty visuals, and the rebirth of culture as identity.
This is the culture of EXIST.
